Movie Storyboard

Adam and I have decided to make the theme of our videos "Fit 4 Life." The direction that we decided to take was to film kids performing activities that they can do pretty much their whole lives.

The first video would have a shot of kids dancing in a PE setting, showing different dance steps that the can do. The second video would have kids playing with hula hoops. After we got the footage we will have a few pictures of people doing those activities as well. Throughout the movie we would also have music playing in the background. That is a general outline of our two videos.

Our theme for our videos is fit for life. I wasn't in class last week so I haven't been able to make an outline. We will probably make a clip that has to do with showing different activities that parents and kids can do in their families.

Internet Safety

Internet safety is a tool used to filter inappropriate things from getting onto our computers and into our minds. I believe that anything that is set up to block vulgar things is a good thing. I think there are good filters out there that can be used but they should not be the only wall of defense that we have in internet safety. There should be practical uses in the home such as; having the computer in a place where people frequently travel, parents could have time restrictions on when their kids can be on the computer, or having a family discussion about internet safety. Whatever you do, just do not relay on a internet filter to protect your family from bad things on the internet.

Teens are definitely in need of internet safety. As a teacher I could briefly give a lesson about internet safety and make them aware of how to protect themselves. I could give them good programs that are out there that are designed to filter inappropriate websites as well.

I taught my roommate about internet safety. He thought it was a good lesson. I just went over the same things that we went over in class. He liked the idea of not having his birthday on his facebook page.

Class Website Assignment

This is my finished class website. It is pretty raw but I feel like I did a good job and that all of the information is there that was required. i have never done this before and was very impressed with how relatively easy it was and how useful it can be.

Class Website

This was a very good and useful project! The process of creating a class website was a very positive one for me. I have never done this before and it was a lot easier than I thought it was. Creating a class website is a very useful thing to do. I think it is a great resource for students and parents to use. I will definetly use one when I become a teacher.

Challenges

I have never created a website before so this is all a new experience for me. So far it is going ok but the main problem I have is figuring out how to post different media items on my website. I am sure I will be able to figure it out but it has been a bit tricky.

Themes and Widgets

Since I love to follow sports I choose to put a few pictures up of my favorite basketball team and player. Ever since I remember I have been a Utah Jazz fan. I love the Utah Jazz. I have always loved to watch their games and make it to as many games as I can. One of the happiest moments of my life was when John Stockton hit the game winner that sent the Jazz to the NBA finals. I love the Utah Jazz.
